Currently, Brazoria County contains over 50 taxing jurisdictions. Each of these local government bodies takes in annual tax revenue in order to support its operations and services to the public. All of the jurisdictions are listed below and are grouped by similarity.
The Brazoria County Appraisal District is responsible for appraising property located in all of these jurisdictions – primarily to ensure fair and equitable appraisals throughout the county.
